Applied Philosophy

The harmony of thought and action

Enter the Work
The Path

Applied Philosophy is a methodology — an understanding that we must put into action our thoughts. This is to embody the principles of the warrior sage.

Modernity has a profound separation between form and meaning. Applied Philosophy exists to help reconcile this imbalance, and bring harmony to the human being.

Mikhail Abdul-Latif

Author. Martial Artist. Teacher.

Mikhail Abdul-Latif is a professional fighter, martial arts instructor, and the author of three books on the warrior tradition — The Tao of War, The Muslim Warrior Poet, and The Axiology of Warriors.

His work sits at the intersection of Islamic philosophy, Eastern martial tradition, and the crisis of the modern man.

Applied Philosophy — the harmony of the inward and the outward, thought made action, principle made practice — is both the name of his school and the methodology that runs through everything he teaches.
